Hi,
I have recently acquired a defective Uni-T Uti260b.
Firmware: V1.2.28
Problems:
The obvious fault of the camera is that the measured temperature fluctuates around 900°C and the image of the thermal imaging camera is completely white.
Attempted solution:
This state does not change even after a reset.
Unfortunately, the menu required for a backup or firmware update cannot be opened even after repeated attempts.
I have soldered on a UART cable and am spammed with the message in the console:
CSP2[16383] == 0.
CSP2[16383] == 0.
Unfortunately this also prevents me from logging in.
I then used uboot and the temporary manipulation of the environment variable `mmcargs` via
`setenv mmcargs 'setenv bootargs console=${console},${baudrate} cma=64M root=${mmcroot} init=/bin/sh'`
and
`boot`
into the Linux and thus have access to the file system.
Questions:
Can a firmware update help me or can I start the calibration somehow?
Can someone please point me to the right place, I'm at a loss right now.

I have seen a video and it looks like it helps.

Thank you for trying to help but unfortunately I can't get much further with the answer.
In the videos you can see that a UTi690B has the same problem. Updating to version V2.0.22 seems to have solved it.
Unfortunately, I cannot open the update menu on my device. No matter how often I try the combination of > and <.
Are UTi260B compatible with firmware versions V2.x ?
Where can I get the latest versions that should work with the device?
EDIT: As it says in this Message https://www.eevblog.com/forum/thermal-imaging/firmware-issue-on-uni-t-uti260b/msg5058769/#msg5058769 (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/thermal-imaging/firmware-issue-on-uni-t-uti260b/msg5058769/#msg5058769) and other messages I should not try to install another version.

railrun, thanks for the tip.
If you reset the device to factory settings, you can then call up the upgrade menu.
I can then at least make a backup of the file system.
All I need is a working firmware version or another option

Solved my issue by replacing the following files from Version 2 to my Camera:
/root/UTi260B_Thermal
/root/tau_H.bin
/root/tau_L.bin
/lib/libirparse.so
/lib/libirprocess.so
lib/libirtemp.so
lib/libiruvc.so
1. restart the camera
2. perform a factory reset
3. start the calibration mode (arrow down and arrow up)
4. read the calibration data
The camera then displays more meaningful data again.
I cannot yet say whether you are then calibrated and how accurate the data is.
