I recently purchased the UTi690B thermal camera for 314€ and am quite amazed by it's performance.
This model seems awfully similar to the UTi260B and some of the product images on banggood look like somebody has edited in the new product name over the old text...
On the PCB there is some silkscreen spelling UTi260K - so there is certainly some common aspect to both models, as you would expect.
But we all know Dave's motto, so I decided to take it apart (even though I had already turned it on >:D)!
I have attached some images to this post, including the specs of this model and the UTi260B.
I have compiled all the images on my website: https://wizeus.de/teardown-of-the-uni-t-pro-uti690b-thermal-camera/ (https://wizeus.de/teardown-of-the-uni-t-pro-uti690b-thermal-camera/).

Wi-Zeus,
Thanks for the teardown. You have confirmed my suspicions regarding which core is used in this camera :-+ For those who do not recognise it, the thermal imaging core is an Infrasys Tiny-1B

So does it differ from the UTi260B in the end?

The board seems identical to my UTi260B https://www.eevblog.com/forum/thermal-imaging/uni-t-uti260b/msg4389421/#msg4389421 (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/thermal-imaging/uni-t-uti260b/msg4389421/#msg4389421)

Do we need this level of teardown to replace the battery?

As I recall the 690B is just a white-labeled 260B exclusively for sale by Banggood. That’s why it doesn’t appear on Uni-T’s website. And when you Google for it you only see it for sale on Banggood, eBay, or a couple of small shops that are likely using Banggood as a wholesaler.
