Hello everyone... here is my first post here... I recently bought a Xenics GOBI 640 GigE from ebay convinced that I could immediately use the video stream from the GigaEthernet port... nothing more wrong... I admit I was hasty in not reading up on how to use it but I thought it was like the LWIR AXIS easily usable.
I connected the camera and I can only see that it acquires IP from DHCP but at that address I cannot detect any active port so I assume that a software is needed to communicate with the camera... I did various searches and I was able to see that it has a software called Xeneth and Xeneth SDK and others for thermography but I did not find where to download them... where could I download them to try to use the camera? Thanks in advance for the answers and for anyone who can help me... :) regards, Alex

This speaks GIGEVISION, Go get pleora viewer to check if you're getting video out.

Have you tried contacting Xenics? Don't know about your particular situation, but I know they have been helpful with providing some software in the past.
Also, as said, you can get Pleora's eBus SDK and use the included Coyote. It can see and reconfigure most GigE cameras from its connection menu, then can display the video output. None of the analysis or camera-specific functions, but a good check for functionality and video, and includes a command line that can let you reconfigure things you know commands for.
