Can anyone tell me what on God’s green earth this is?

With those big transistors, with their heat sinks, it may be a control system of some kind. But, no, I cannot say with any certainty at all. 

Can you get higher resolution pics of that, along with the other side? Do you have any info about it (I.E. where you got it, when it was made, what system/equipment it was a part of, etc.)?

That’s as good an image as I can get.  It’s a FB marketplace post in my town.  I’m tempted
 to go get it, though I don’t have much room…

Possibly an old audio mixer?

 - Central boards with lots of repetitive vertical features: lots of analog faders.
 - Top-left board: built-in audio amps (aka a "powered mixer")
 - Top-right board: big memory chips for reverb effects.
 - Lots of reptitive DIP chips: tone controls and opamps?
 - In the gap between the top-left and mid-left boards: is that a 1/4" TRS socket?  Weird spot.

Possibly out of some brand of electronic organ, all analogue.
