Title: Help Wanted! Pinout/Manual Of VAKO DISPALYS CL501/CS CRT Modual
Post by: TheEPROM9 on October 06, 2019, 08:30:27 pm
I have a VAKO DISPALYS CL501/CS CRT Display Modual. It is a really neat greenscreen display that I want to use for a retro computer project. However I have had 0% luck with this, I have however found the 12V power input & when I power it up the HV works as you can hear the 15KHz. However there is no raster on the display or any other sign of life.

I have tryed to find documentation on line but I have currently found nothing. I don't know if anyone has tips & tricks or has worked with these at some point as it is from 1988, or can help me reverce engineer it as I am not to familour with the nitty grity detailes CRT circitry.

Only IC Is UPC1031H2 Vertical Deflection Driver. The rest of the active comonets are transistors.

I have attached sevrail images to provide at least some context.

Well I found my own solution. Used an old BW CCTV monitor & swaped the CRTs. Works a treat.
