HOW TO copy MD2202-D16 memory onto another

Hi, I am a true amator when we talk about this subject, I didn't reach this era of old computing and is a bit strange for me to understand how to address this kind of technology (for instance parallel memory), but I want to know if it is possible because I have a sewing machine and this chip is making me a lot of trouble. I need TO COPY this memory onto another similar one and I bought two of this memories but I struggled to find on the internet how to copy them and nothing heped me. Can anyone tell me a technique or a programmer and some software for it?

When I bought the memory my first attempt was to find a way to communicate with arduino, because is the cheapest solution that I have but I have also other tools on my hand like raspberry PI, serial programmers, an old PC that have serial port, parallel port.

You cant just read it in any external reader.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M-Systems DiskonChip are the real precursor to SSDs. Afaik they run flash translation layer on the main cpu thru bios extension loading trueFFS driver.

most likely you will need to plonk it into a pc motherboard, let it load its driver, and then copy like a normal disk

model? whats inside? what software is it running? what architecture? can you take a picture of the board module is plugged into?

Easiest way to copy these (without custom software and/or hardware) would be to find computer with a DOC socket.  After BIOS (in the DOC device itself) loads it should appear as a regular 'disk' to the system (MS-DOS, etc...), so could be copied with any software that can read/write raw disk images...

Note, that there is the 'traditional' 5V versions of these and somewhat more rare 3.3V versions (these have -V3 suffix in the model/part number if I recall correctly).   So make sure replacement chip is matching voltage (plugging a 3.3V chip on 5V socket won't work...)

If you have an ISA slot PC, then you can construct a simple interface where you can use this DOC as a Hard drive in the PC and just copy, paste or format it like you do in DOS.

I have read your post on How to copy DiskOnChip.

I have an age-old device working with PC/104 industrial motherboard with DiskOnChip2000 memory. When I start the motherboard, it starts the DOS software on DOC.
Now I need to copy DiskOnChip memory.
Actually I have two PC/104 motherboards having DOC socket and also IDE HDD connector:
An ISA SBC-456 and a PCM3336 - both have IDE (mini?) HDD and FDD connectors.
How can I copy DiskOnChip?
Is it possible to make a DOS 1.44 floppy and set A drive to boot first from it? Then will I see the content of DiskOnChip and mamy I copy it to an IDE HDD? Or shall I make an image from it first?
I have never doen it before..
