Request For Manuals For Bondwell B200
« on: July 14, 2025, 09:23:52 pm »
Last night I won an eBay auction for a Bondwell B200 laptop.

Unfortunately it does not come with any manuals, and I have been unable to find any on-line.

As far as the basic operation, I have been using PCs since the mid 1980s, and will have no troubles with that part. I am looking for B200-specific information like the "Reverse Video" switch on the back, what software came with the laptop - things like that.

Does anyone have any links to any of the B200 manuals, or have any paper versions that I could get for cheap?

Hi

Did you still need the B200 manuals as I have a set I could scan and send to you?
I have a B200 and need the floppy discs if you have a copy?

Regards
Bret

I do still need the manuals. Thank you.  If it's alright with you, I will take those scans and put them up on Internet Archive, and maybe some other places, so that others can find them.

The two disks that came with the computer were a single MS-DOS boot disk (in A:) which had a blank label on it - I found that it was MS-DOS 3.30 by booting it on another computer. the other disk (in B:) had a label with: "GAMES MAHJONG," and so they are not the original disks. If you would like, I can get the directory, and send it to you. Then if you still want them (I do not remember what other stuff is on the game disk, and have MS-DOS 3.30 complete,) I can image them and send those images to you.

@Voltspeed, this is great - thank you very much.

Are you interested in the contents of the two disks that I received? They are certainly not he originals; according to the book, the computer came with DR-DOS, but the boot disk that I received is MS-DOS 3.30.

Also, have you posted these files anywhere on-line, or would you like me to post them?

Hi
A friend had a DOS 3.3 disc and it didn't work.
The invoice says it is DR-DOS.
If you have a copy on 3.5 I'd be happy to pay for a copy and also the game it came with.
Cheers
Bret

Okay, but the boot disk that came with my B200 is Microsoft's MS-DOS 3.30, not the Digital Research DR-DOS 3.50 that was supposed to come with it.

I'll try to get the disks imaged on Monday, or Tuesday.

Thanks again for the manual. I just got through going over the whole thing, and it's interesting. Also, what sized paper does the manual use - it doesn't look like regular 8.5" x 11" letter-size paper.

Hi Granzeier
I can't download the software, I'm getting a privacy warning.
Can you send it another way?
