Personal brand vs. starting your own company?
« on: September 10, 2024, 10:23:21 pm »
Maybe this is not the right category to post this, but close enough...

What are some thoughts on the topic: "Building a personal brand vs. starting a company".

Corner cases are when the engineer is working already somewhere and there may be complications regarding the engineer having a personal brand.

My two cents for this is that most people have to start out with a personal brand, and later convert their brand into something bigger, like a company.

Thoughts? Experiences?

It sounds like word salad babble to me!

Start by comparing and contrasting "personal brand" and "reputation".

Then discuss how to convert a personal attribute into a legal entity, i.e. reputation => company.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
