Can you englighten us about what "calibration" is?
Do you just check the equipment (ex: Fluke multimeter) to see if it's within the tolerance spec for that model? And if it is, then it's considered "calibrated"?
or do you go in, open the equipment up, and adjust it so that a reference 5.000000 volts is read by said equipment as 5.000000 +/- .000001, then its considered "calibrated"?
nctnico:
Adjustment is not calibration by definition. Calibration is checking if an instrument is within spec.

--- Quote ---Calibration is checking if an instrument is within spec.

I was hoping the OP would reply as they're the ones offering this service.
On their website, it says:
Fluke Various Multimeter $50.00
So what? I send them my Fluke, and they send it back to me with a note that says "Yes, it's calibrated" if the meter is within spec of manufacturers rating?
$50 for the assurance that "yes, it's calibrated" or is there more info that I'll receive?
And what if the meter fails spec of manufacturer?
I get a "No, it's not calibrated" for my $50? That's it?
