Good day all
I have a couple of InfraCAM cameras, which are all displaying the same fault - they do not show the USB menu (where you choose the type MSD or Network) and are stuck in Network mode. This means you cannot retrieve the images stored on the camera.
I can access the file system through filezilla and the service menu - I just cannot work out how to reset/change the connection again and restore the menu option. Is there a Telnet command that would change it?
Any ideas?
Looks like a i3/5/7 to me.
Have you tried following procedure:
Left Button (menu should pop up)
Press the replay button for 5 seconds.
Hope that helps.
Will try that on Monday - what should happen?
Have contacted FLIR support but they're saying it needs to be returned for full firmware reflash. Won't provide me with it!
Worst case scenario, I'll enable the hidden SD card feature, and have them use that.
Thanks Railrun, I'm optimistic for tomorrow now!
To Download the Images you can just use FTP.
You can download my Ex-Tools, to use the available functions over Telnet.
one of the Functions will change the USB Mode, there you can choose MSD.
Connect -> goto Tab:Setup 3 -> goto USB Mode and choose: MSD

Thanks for the advice joe-c, I tried your software but no luck. I can connect to the camera and communicate with it, but for some reason I cannot set USB mode.
Railrun - secret menu button worked, but it only displayed firmware versions and component details. Nothing to change the USB mode
I do have a copy of the files from a working InfraCAM - is there a way I can compare them easily to find the missing settings/files? Obviously I cannot do a complete copy over, as it'll need it's original calibration files, but if there is a file somewhere that contains connection details, I could just copy that?
Worst case, I'll hack it to enable the hidden SD card and use that instead.
So, basically nothing worked. Talking with Spirit however, I managed to enable the SD card function. After turning this on, the USB menu is back again! It only seems to disappear when saving to on board memory!
Oh well. Now to find cheap <1gb SD cards...
