Unknown IC on Toshiba HDD PCB
« on: February 16, 2019, 11:50:22 pm »
Can anyone recognise the chip at locations IC12 and IC13 on this Toshiba HDD PCB?
https://st.overclockers.ru/images/lab/2018/12/04/1/106_toshiba-10tb-pcb_big.jpg

The chip is an op amp or instrumentation amp (perhaps a dual amp). It amplifies and buffers the output of the piezo shock sensors at MT1 and MT2.

I don't need this information for a repair, but I'd like to add this chip to my database.

Thanks.

Would you have a photo where markings can be read better?

Sorry, I work mostly from other people's photos. :-)

AFAICT, the markings are ...

93A33
1832H
S29604

I presume that "1832" is a YYWW (year/week) date code. Other Toshiba PCBs use amps made by Rohm, but there is nothing on Rohm's web site that matches the above markings.

It is probably a custom marking.
