Altium Designer - SVNDbLib locked file
« on: April 09, 2020, 02:38:19 pm »
Dear fellow engineers,

I created some SVN Database Libraries and am sharing them with other engineers.
We also have the file locking option enabled, which prevents others to edit files, if another AD instance already opened it.
Unfortunately, if this option is enabled, no one can edit the SVNDbLibs even when no one has opened them. We only have the libraries installed.
If this option is disabled, the libs can be edited.

Does anyone know what the problem here is?

I'd recommend leaving SVN in the last decade and using git. You can easily setup a gitea server, use all the project management features to work on your library, host projects on it.
