Component Links Dont open in External Browser

Component Links Don't open in External Browser or even locally, another tab just opens & then the tab has a %2A naming

I just added Manufacturer links to our components so when SCH part > right click > References > URL of Vendor > %2A
open external browser has been checked, tried key combi still nothing

has anyone faced similar problem & how to fix this? is there a setting needed for the external browser to see Altium Links?

First and foremost, ensure that the option to open links in an external browser are enabled. You can find this option in the System Preferences menu. You might want to check that the default browser is set correctly as well.

Alternatively, or if any of these don't work for you, drag-and-drop of links to your browser would work and sometimes helps with the bypassing of issues relating to direct link opening.

Works OK here, v24.9.1.
What version and did you try other versions?

we usually have all our parts in Z2DATA

Setting is as shown above. Link can be added manually for testing:

OK, got it to work, we upgraded to AD24
