Positive mask layer?
« on: August 15, 2013, 03:27:11 pm »
Heya guys

I know this is probably a long shot, but here goes:

Does anyone know of an easy method to create positive mask layer output files in Altium?

I need the "solder mask" to be positive, that is I want the gerber to reflect what I see in the 3D view: a fill that covers the board except at the pads.

Additionally I need something similar for blind vias, a mask layer that is the inverse of the vias on a particular layer (and extend to the board outline).

Perhaps it is possible to write a script to generate what I need on a mechanical layer?

The experienced guys here can probably guess at what I am trying to do, and yes it is a bit stupid, but this the only real problem I have so far.

those layers are negative by default... export gerber or DXf and invert it there.
