a mosfet question about electronic circuits

This is the mosfet channel adjustable circuit example question.

When calculating Vgs in this question.
We know that Vgs = Vg - Vs
Vg = 1,5 V
We know that Vs = Id.Rs
but I don't know what to do next.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

From the look of it, you have got all the right formulae, however you've got the polarity wrong for Vp, as far as I can see  .
