electronic switch

Hello to all.
I have a circuit of this type (see attachement circuit 1)
where I use a resistor of 12K and a photoresistor LDR. The output of the signal is taken at A and sent to the base of a TIP107 (PNP darlington transistor).
Is there a way to reverse the polarity of the power supply circuit according to an external signal that presents two voltage values so as to have, as in attachement circuit 2 ?

What are you looking for? This explanation is a bit lot confusing.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is.

Yes. To achieve this you can use a mechanical switch (see attachment), however I would like to use an electronic switch controlled by an external signal.

Thats what relays are made for. Or you can use a electronic switch (according to the topic  ;) ) like a CD4066

thank you PSR B1257, I will use the CD4066 that is just what I was looking for.
