Female Connector Question

Does anyone know of a new connector (preferably solder) that would allow for a connection to be made with the corresponding male pin? I haven't been able to find one on Mouser or DigiKey. The internal diameter of the female terminal is ~3.16mm - not sure if these are considered barrel connectors.

Nobody would refer to that as a barrel connector. It is some variety of AC mains connector.

I have seen that as the mains connector behind some old test equipment.
One HP pulse generator and one Italian made VHF signal generator.
So I'd also say it's some mains plug, with ground.

HEWPA-8120-0100 is a Schuko version of a cord, made in W.Germany.
Maybe not completely propriety.

I second that it is a mains connector for some device.

I've done this using brass tubing press-fit over the male pins, insulated with heat shrink. Slitting and squeezing the tubing could add some spring tension. This was for a carefully laid-out bench test--I don't recommend it for everyday use.

What's the OD of the male pin? That's the critical dimension for selecting a mating part.

No. The OP's plug is appr. the size used in electric razors etc.
The Swiss plug is far larger.
