I have get many of those plugs , picture below , and I need to find if there is any special crimping tool,

I am aware of 10 deferent ways to do the fixing, but I need to know if there is any special tool for those.
( I need to do one extension for the flash unit of my digital camera ) And because the cables looks very delicate , I need the " best ever " solution for the job.
It's hard to tell from the picture, but those look like those connectors that you solder wires directly into. Like what you get on some of those DB9 connectors.
Yes, those are solder cups. Crimped contacts are almost always crimped first, then inserted in the connector body (which implies a retention clip of some sort). If you think about it, it would be very difficult to get a crimp tool to to fit between the tightly spaced contacts.

correct, we use plugs at work that have the terminals crimped, they are then put into the plug and clip into place and then a final wedge lock is inserted to fuly lock all pins
Hmm it could be my fault , well I need info of how to lock correctly the end clip on the cable , check the picture.
I probably need a tool that will do a perfect tight cycle , with out to compress it by an awkward manner.
If the tool does not called as crimping one , the it is called as an " Press " one ?
Oh boy. My mistake. You're talking about the metal piece that's used for strain relief. It looks like it would be applied with some sort of open barrel crimp tool. Sorry, I can't help you there. I'm curious to find out how it is supposed to be applied, though.
Well what ever it is as a tool , it must have fixed hole sizes .
For example this plug it could take an 0.5cm max diameter cable .
And this diameter looks fixed for mini-din.
The larger Din plugs, takes also an specific max of diameter cable ..
So the one thought brings the other ... and we are looking for a tool , that possibly exclusively used to do the fixing of the strain relief clip , at the Mini-Din & Din plugs !!
Well I seriously thinking to build ( Yes build - make ) my own tool .
The
Mini-Din strain relief clip its wide as 3.5mm , so the tool for it it must be as 4.0mm wide .
The Classic
Din strain relief clip its wide as 5.5mm , so the tool for it it must be as 6.0mm wide.
So the "Mini-Din & Din" tool must be as 6mm wide,
with two holes (two sizes) with the
diameter of :
5.0 - 5.5 mm for Din
4.0 - 4.5mm for the Mini Din
(By having in mind that in both cases, the max diameter of cable will be used)

Ok here is the idea No1 ... I will just drill it at the specific diameter .. for its Din type,
the only problem are that I have to find another one like this for my tests,
I think that I have an second one like this, somewhere in my boxes.
