I don't know if it matters but a real motor has an inrush current up around 6 times full load current. It declines as the motor accelerates but the rate of acceleration will be a function of inertia. Big fans take a LONG time to get up to speed and, because of this, we often use wye-delta motor starters. The motor starts up with the windings connected in a wye configuration and, after some time, the contactors charge the connection to delta.
