How to use NTAG216 in place of NTAG215?
« on: February 29, 2016, 06:45:44 am »
Hey guys, been working on a project that clones NTAG215 data onto new blank NTAG215 cards.

However, out of necessity I am wondering if anyone here knows pretty much exactly what to do in order to use the NTAG215 data and place it onto a NTAG216 card.

The only difference that I see is available memory, perhaps fill the 215 data with 0's?

Any thoughts?

I'd have thought that it would work without any changes. Quickest and easiest way to find out would be to just get a NTAG216 and just try it.

Try 1: Copy the data directly, no modification

Result: Failure to read

Try 2: Open tag in hex editor fill remaining space with 0's to 924 bytes

Result: Failure to read

I have 8 more tags and therefore 8 more attempts. Any ideas?
