This is a little embarrassing, but here goes. I bought a Playstation 4 almost half a decade ago because I heard they were going to remake my favorite game of all time, Final Fantasy VII, for the console. Fast forward to last week and they finally come out with a demo, into which I make it about 30 minutes and hear a pop, followed by a black screen and silence. It seems when it came time for my PS4 to serve the primary purpose I bought it for, it decided to die on me.
Anyway, this is almost certainly a power supply problem and I want to fix it myself. First I replaced a fuse and two burned resistors and it went from being completely dead to turning on for half a second and turning back off. Now I found another blown fuse that wasn't blown before and a bad MOSFET. (As I recall, it was questionable before, reading a bit off from what I expected, and now it's a dead short even removed from circuit.)
Anyway, this thing has Sony numbers on it and I'm quite a beginner at this sort of thing. I think I can find the fuse, but I could use some help finding the transistor on Mouser or some similar site. The number on it is 6R190E6 which of course shows nothing on Mouser but I can find datasheets. What can I look for that would be equivalent? And if there's an easy way to do this, I'd be obliged to know what it is.
Thanks.
