Nvidia Jetson Wifi Card
« on: March 23, 2021, 01:39:17 am »
My nvidia jetson nano crashes every time I try to connect to wifi with an Intel AX200 wifi card with the drivers installed. Have tried reinstalling OS but it has not helped. Not sure if this is related or not, but when the device restarts and is connected to an external monitor, the screen flickers on and off until I unplug and plug the HDMI cable back in.

If anyone has used a Wifi card with an Nvidia Jetson, please let me know what model. I am ready to give up on this one if thats the problem

Maybe you're browning out.  Do you have enough power?

You probably don't have enough power.  Supplying power through the microUSB is only workable when there are no peripherals and the power mode is set to 'wimpy' (I forget the actual nomenclature).

You might try something like this:

Don't forget the power jumper at J48.  It is usually dangling off one pin and looks for all the world like it is installed.  It isn't installed by default.

I am using an EDI USB WiFi dongle but I do have the Waveshare AC8265.  I'm not ready to deal with the dangling antennas at the moment.

It looks like you need a "dumb" micro usb that can supply at least 5V 3A.  Not sure if you have a barrel plug on yours.  I've seen photos of both.  Go with that as mentioned above.
