Hi,
I've recently taken on an assignment that requires working with i.MX 5 and i.MX 6 processor-based hardware designs. While navigating the NXP website, I found at times, information is scattered and confusing. I located hardware guidelines and related information, but I was looking for a book or guide. Can anyone recommend a specific guideline or book that I can use as a reference for NXP i.MX based processor designs?
Below is the list that I have read so far for i.MX 6
1. i.MX 6Dual/6Quad Applications Processors for Industrial Products - Data Sheet
2. i.MX 6Dual/6Quad Applications Processor Reference Manual
3. IMX6DQ6SDLHDG, Hardware Development Guide for i.MX 6Quad, 6Dual, 6DualLite, 6Solo Families of Applications Processors. This seems to have a lot of information.
4. Common Hardware Design for i.MX 6Dual/6Quad and i.MX 6Solo/6DualLite.
5. Configuring USB on i.MX 6 Series Processors.
7. AN4671, i.MX 6 Series HDMI Test Method for Eye Pattern and Electrical Characteristics - Application Notes
8. i.MX 6Dual/6Quad Power Consumption Measurement
9. Chip Errata for the i.MX 6Dual/6Quad and i.MX 6DualPlus/6QuadPlus - IMX6DQCE
The above list is about the same for i.MX 5
Take a look at the ARM website for technical documentation on the processor core... ARM Cortex A9 for the i.MX6 if I remember correctly. I think the ARM website of interest is developer.arm.com/processors ... or something close to that.
