Protective Backing
« on: May 14, 2011, 11:42:18 pm »
I'm looking for a source for single sided sticky foam backing.  It goes on the back of a PCB.  It looks like this:

Does anyone know what this material is called and where to get it?

Thanks in advance,
scotto

Adhesive backed foam !

Look in a craft store.  Readily available, and cheap.

and if you cannot find the adhesive backed foam. then find a normal foam (without adhesive), and buy a double sided tape, stick them together the you got the above mentioned foam.

There is out there high quality tape,
just search on eBay about :   SEKISUI 5760 Thermal Adhesive

1) Special characteristics about holding well in hot surfaces
2) Made in Japan.

no need ebay. even my place at the edge of the world here, i still can find decent functional tape. and i usually heat the adhesive before sticking it for stronger adhesion. adhesive works better in hot condition.
