Relay and remote control for a DIY Ethernet delay switch
« on: March 23, 2026, 04:20:08 am »
I know there are a ton of YouTube videos on this but very few mention which relay and remote to actually buy.
Any advice on which relay and remote to actually buy( from Amazon preferably)?
I know this comes across as unethical but it’s mainly for educational purposes and more of a personal project
.

Yes, buying anything from America is unethical.
Who knows what youtube videos you mean, what the "remote" is, what Amazon products you've looked at or what the "relay" is for.
Our mindreading skills have a limit fella.

I don't understand what an "Ethernet delay switch" is?

Do you mean a device to toggle your ethernet router?

Seems it's a ham fisted way of forcing network delays by disconnecting the twisted pair galvanically.

Kind of a bit harsh and a bit un-necessary, I can think of dozens of other more suited ways that remain in protocol.
