Hello guys,
I know very little about crimping, limited to using Red, Blue & Yellow crimps.
I have some 3D printer projects coming up where I would like to connect some butt, fork and ring crimps to 7/0.2mm wire, and was wondering if there is a colour code, or optimal size I should be looking for?
Thank you!
To get a reliable connection with small wire I'll often strip extra wire and double or triple it up to give the terminal something to 'bite'into. Sometimes a bit of solder is needed too.
On top of wagon's suggestion - applying heatshrink to the wire insulation to make it larger diameter can help depending on the style of connector

I'd agree with the doubling up, but avoid the solder. Solder will cold flow and release the crimp pressure over time - same problem as tinning wire ends before inserting them into screw terminals, they will loosen with time. You should either solder or crimp, not both.
Solder tags might actually be a better (if slower) option. Heatshrink for strain relief.

I should have said 'solder after crimping'....
