TEKTRONIX 2211 CH1 1 NO SIGNAL

For anyone having a problem with a channel missing on one of these scopes

On the main board change U130 AND U180 Which are SL2364'S
Also Change U601 CA3054 and on the mainboard also U600 74LS05 HEX INVERTER

Bit of a job as you have to remove the storage board and also the overlay board.
Also watch the ribbon cables they do not always plug into pin one on the socket itself although the PCB markings identify pin 1.

The front panel has seven ribbon cables which are likely to snap off if disturbed. Check all the pins for continuity and resolder.
Found an old stereo with the same ribbons internally to replace the ones that were too short.
These silicon cables are expensive.

I had to strip the complete machine down and rebuild it. Couple of weeks work but now works a treat.
Also had to replace some knobs which are as rare as hens teeth so i drew on cad and having them printed.
First batch not quite right but next batch i am hoping will do the trick.
