• Hi,
  
  Does anyone happen to know the make and model of the connector in the attached picture?
  I am trying to build a set of leads with the corresponding male connector at one end.

  This is from a Thorn EMI PM28B high voltage power supply.

  says it's a S400A 002 +E . Looks a lot like the XLR3  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XLR_connector But I doubt its the right size or if an audio connector would handle the voltage or current. I could be wrong.
  
  If your not concerned about keeping the unit stock, you could replace the whole socket for the IEC 320-C14. Just a thought.

  Current set seems to be missing those old connection positions, but 2 out of 6 is very close, maybe it can be improvised.
  (002 is the type of connections)
  
  I would say that there are also some quite conveniently named tube amps.

• In addition to the pin configuration, XLR connectors have a small latching mechanism, and do not have a flat on the outer shell.  Close, but not close enough!

  I missed it too so don't feel bad 
  You could try searching  vintage and surplus suppliers . It's surprising what you can find.
