I think all those millions of views are also automatic from the click farms. Because no one in the right mind would watch this kind of garbage.

I keep getting ads on FB "Use AI to create blog posts automatically in seconds". Same about videos.
So there is already an ecosystem for that: marketplace of tools, ad placements, promotion via fake views click fraud farms, etc.

I don't mind the clickbait, if it would not fill up the search results and other lists with a kind of spam.
Most of them are easy to recognize, starting with the same words for title, like "it finally happend ..."  or "Horrible ...".
It is not just clickbait and fake views, but there are also some taking the clickbait to far showing absolute nonsense / fake news, like those false perpetu mobiles.
With the current situation with russia  there is also plenty of missinformation, just to delute and make suspicious or drive peaple away. Not sure this works, but plenty of obvious nonsense news.

It turns out I'm not the only one seeing this.

I think that's exactly how it works. It's also funny to read comments where people are seriously discussing something under such videos. Not everyone has a degree, but you don't need it to understand that such videos are absurd. For example, recently, I wrote a research paper on an ethical dilemma topic. I need information from Wikipedia, high-quality essays I find here, and news I read on BBC. This is enough to cover all my needs. The Internet is full of reliable sources you can trust, and such videos are watched only by those who cannot distinguish the truth from spam.
