The Hapbee has raised half a million dollars on Indiegogo, it's magic woo woo that can make you feel different things from weak arse magnetic fields.
Let's go down the rabbit hole of who's behind this and why...
Oh, and let's cure cancer too!

Come  on Dave  this  could work,  maybe they  have some type  of  "magic  woo   woo"   that you   are not  aware  to resonate the frequencies  around  a persons  brain to cure  whatever  ails  them,  Even Covid- 19  ! 8)

Okay maybe  not  !  LOL

As Dave says, kernel of truth, if anyone is interested in tech in this area that actually could work:

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS):
A huge magnet thats placed near a specific location of your brain and pulsed. Ben Krasnow made a DIY version.
The difficulty though is the very large size of magnet required to generate the field, and high power. So if it were a wearable it would be quite heavy.
Typical TMS device will have a field strength of 2T, that is 500,000 times stronger than the 40mG of hapbee.

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-019-10638-7

Transcranial focused ultrasound (tFUS):
500kHz applied to the skull with typical ultrasound gel. Stated as being low intensity, 16mW/cm2, duty cycle of 0.26%.

In regards to investors and promoters. I don't think it's any different than it was at the beginning of Uber, AirBnb, Facebook, Twitter etc. Though, this is a complete shit products.

As others have posted in the other thread, if it DID work, there would be great concerns about safety. As well as the hardware, I think every WAV file would also have to be verified to be safe.

I think their patents may be invalid for prior art. Many decades ago, a guy named Royal Rife invented some kind of frequency generator for treating diseases. And each disease or medical condition had its own "special frequency". This sounds a lot like the claims of Hapbee.

If (!) their idea really did have some merit, why not put a speaker on top of a hat and call it good? It could be so, so stylish!
Currently developing STM8 and STM32. Past includes 6809, Z80, 8086, PIC, MIPS, PNX1302, and some 8748 and 6805. Check out my public code on github. https://github.com/unfrozen

Just for comparison: 2T are in the range of an MRI.

BTW, if Hapbee would have any real effect it would require an approval as medical device. It's not much different from those magic magnetic fuel savers for your car. And it doesn't harm you, besides the loss of money. >:D

and to put that in perspective, a strong neodymium magnet might be ~1.5T

Yeah 5000$/night is "special" price for treatment

PS: I hope you realize I am joking ... or shuld I increase the price to the market levels?  :)
But I am not kidding withe the vortex crap ... There is an entire industry built around the Sedona "vortex"-es. There are plenty of believers (or I shall say morons) - i remember that a few years back some idiots actually died poisoned with CO2 in the search of the "vortex energy" in some kind of make-shift sauna thing.  And btw, the white beard doctor that Dave is talking .. do you think is just happens to be here in Phoenix ? (proximity works in favor of business)

I have a 10$ device which actually works unlike this disco necklace, it doesn't need to be on you and can work at a huge distance with multiple people at the same time. It's called an MP3 player.
Abba for 'happiness'
Hans Zimmer for 'alertness'
Dave Rodgers for 'pick me up'
Yoshida bothers for 'calm'
Gerry Rafferty for relaxation
And maths lectures for sleepiness

It can even make me
Angry if I play Avenged sevenfold
Sad, if I play Eddy Murphy
Kenny longing for adrenal rush
Mad cow for feeling drunk
Skrillex for felling ill
Etc etc

Who else users an MP3 player to get the same effects it claims to give you?

If you don't even have a device with speakers, try forcibly changing your facial expressions, that does it most of the times, in an instant.

Let's get into politics of this. Why do most of these company owner seem to be highly educated intellects with studies unrelated to their products?

They try to sell snake oil to dumbasses and it works more often than not, that's why. And mostly that is more about communication and representation than about content, which is why their field is rarely STEM (which would be handy when you want to build devices that have an actual function). If they are really smart they choose the wording in a way that is legally not suable to limit their risk. If they would be smarter than that, they would not touch this kind of business with a stick.

To me this is just an idiotic way to incur debts to the economy/society, a waste of money and resources that could be spent more wisely. But the customers of such devices are no better in their motives, it seems.

Nice video Dave... Sadly this doesn't surprise me. The main goal of these "circle-jerk" groups is to brainstorm some magic woo-hoo B.S. device or more likely seek out some potential candidate device from the plethora of garbage already out there and take it to market, rebrand it and most importantly take over the company or buy in controlling interest and try to make as much money as they can from it. I believe 100% that they know they are selling snake oil but that doesn't mean anything, because MAKING MONEY IS ALL THAT MATTERS.

I can bet you that MOST of the people in the CEO/Corporate Advisory listing were NOT involved whatsoever with the creation of this device over the past 20 years. Whoever was working on the device (maybe Mr. Rivera from EMulate Therapeutics) may have been pulled into the network a couple years ago either looking to take it somewhere or may have been discovered by someone in the Genius Network. Then what the Genius Network does as an "entrepreneurial mutual jerking off" group is to fish out and promote these products and use their combined expertise to take it to market. Notice how the new product looks different, has an app and some lights associated with it.

They could care less about whether it works or not. It is all about SELLING, MARKETING, PROMOTING and circle-jerking each other with the Genius Network. They fish around for stuff. The entire team of Hapbee is nothing but marketing wankers, a few token technologists (which probably have been given shares for agreeing to appear on the board and give some occasional design/feature input) and people invested in the venture who have made a successful business of turn-key money-making startups:

But since when was taking money by tricking people a CRIME?  :-DD

This is the second time I've seen Magic Man on this forum. First, I saw him in the two capacitor paradox thread https://www.eevblog.com/forum/projects/where-does-12-come-from-in-capacitor-energy-calculation/ and now I've seen him in this video.

Magic...
