Dave goes hunting for the most expensive IC on Digikey and ends up finding a bunch of unusual stuff!

That Flash memory that is the "most expensive IC" is listed as a wafer - so presumably many hundreds of unsawed dies.

I would guess that's a product for someone wanting to make a system-in-package. Not sure why DigiKey lists it, though, it's not something just anyone could successfully use.

The AtMegaS64 is supposed to be a radiation tolerant version.  So not the normal cheap chip, more like space grade.

@18:30, That differential in and out gate is actually and AND and an OR combined.  If you swap the differential input's +&-, IE the polarity of the input data, the AND becomes an AND with inverted inputs, or in other words, a NOR gate.  Then, what do you assume happens to that NOR gate when you swap the +&- on the outputs?

I remember looking at some ~$70k FPGAs that Digikey had listed. I'd hate to be the guy who slips and pops one of those.

Fun vid, but you gotta exclude all the third party crap like Rochester for it to feel real.
