I completely agree with Dave regarding the ridiculous small flag connectors for camcorders. I bought a $1200 camcorder quite a number of years back that had one. While video taping a graduation I had it on a tripod and plugged into a power outlet. I turned the handle to raise the height of the camcorder but didn't realize I was standing on the cord. It immediately snapped the connector off the end of the power supply cord, at the camera. Replacement cost... $125. Had to buy a generic aftermarket for $80. Expensive lesson for sure.
