Dave, you got me! I was just about to post a big rant until the coffee kicked in and I realised it all wasn't true. You shouldn't play with an engineers emotions like that!  ::)

P.S - Hope to see some more detailed electronics 'theory' blogs soon.

Thanks, I just had to do something to mark the occasion!

I originally wanted to actually build something or do something technical, but the holiday stepped in, so I just made something up at the last minute today.

Just hope I don't lose any viewers in disgust!

I don't think you've lost any viewers over it Dave, I think most know you better than that and any doubters would have come here to be put straight, didn't really catch me out because i saw the firth post ion this thread and guessed (that in conjunction of me being april fool aware as it's my birthday today)

This reminds me of 2008 when youtube rickrolled everyone, and again in 2009 when they mirrored all there videos.
And at one point google's main page was talking about it's own ISP where you flush a fiber optic cable down the toilet to get internet service.
