[FS] i7/GTX1060 laptop
« on: September 08, 2017, 10:17:04 pm »
I have this listed on the bay for a while, while it was bought twice, both buyer didn't pay, so I think I can try my luck here.

The item for sale is an MSI gaming laptop with i7 6700HQ CPU, GTX1060 GPU, 16GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB Samsung 850 Pro SSD.
It came with 2*16GB RAM, which I took on and installed it on another project. It came with a 128GB SATA SSD, which I took away and replaced with an NVMe one, until recently I also cannibalized it on another project.
I then installed a 256GB SATA SSD, replacing its original 1TB 5400RPM HDD.
Therefore, the machine now has 1*16GB RAM stick left, no m.2 SSDs (slot supports NVMe and SATA), and a 256GB SSD.

Audio doesn't work since I screwed up with a flex cable when first upgrading m.2 SSD to NVMe, and the short circuit on audio signal wire (to potentially 5V) fried audio DAC chip on motherboard.
Upon repairing attempt, 2 pads were lifted, and after running bodge wires, I still couldn't bring audio back. Therefore, there's pretty much no chance of restoring on board audio.

Besides on board audio, everything works fine. USB audio will work, and has been verified with various sound cards.
Screen is calibrated with Spyder 5, and I can provide color profile.
Came with Windows 10 Home preinstalled, and I further purchased Windows 10 Pro upgrade from Windows Store.

Asking for $800 before I receive any bids from eBay. Free US shipping. Ship from North Carolina.
