Calibrated 3458A & 3245A source coming up in a few weeks
« on: August 31, 2022, 09:11:08 am »
Hi,

A nice 3458A just back from Keysight cal and with Keysight extended warranty for the next two years. Nicely run in, will put some images up. Keysight also replaced the front panel as they found some wobble in the terminals.

Also, 3245A voltage source, 2 x 10V channels. Will 'cal' to the 3458A before it goes, so it'll be nicely accurate.

Since these are delicate instruments, I prefer pickup from London, but could ship at your risk. I'm thinking £4K for the 3458A as the cal, warranty etc was £1.7K. £750 for the 3245A?

I'm on vacation from 9th-24th September btw.

OK images attached (the first three before it was sent to cal) the last one after it came back i.e. with its new front panel.

It also had a thorough refurb in 2015 with new fan / mains filter / electrolytics / srams / up-to-date eproms / sockets put in for the srams etc.

There's also the cal certificate of course etc.

Here are the parts replaced on the 3245A fyi and an old image of the front panel of the 3425A (ignore the 3258A in that picture, I'm not sure that's the same one. And I'm not sure whether that was before or after 'cal'.) I'll post up some more current images when I get a few minutes.

FYI the 3245A is sold now. The calibrated 3458A should be coming up in about a month.

I also have a 2182A nanovoltmeter coming up in a few weeks. Anyone have an opinion whether it's best to get that one calibrated before sale by Tek (cost is about £650 apparently) or leave the buyer the option to do it themselves if they want (with a corresponding lower price)?
