Free (almost!) to good home - Warco ZX-15 milling machine
« on: December 22, 2014, 11:34:25 am »
My ex-wife wants this moved out of the house I used to live in, it was too big for me to take with me when I left.

http://pennyfarthingtools.co.uk/warco-z-x-15-mill/2013/01/17/

Clean and working, complete with clamp kit, vice, coolant tray and stand with cupboard. It's the same model as the one in the picture, but mine doesn't have the digital caliper or the swivel vice.

It's heavy and will need a couple of people to dismantle and shift it. No stairs involved!

£150 cash, you collect from Sheffield S35 0AR.

Pity Ian, lovely unit there. Hope it goes to a good home. Send a PM to Simon or Kibi if they want it. They are close enough to fetch it.

You have some interesting stuff to sell Top!
Not that far from me too (I am North Manchester), so hello, fellow Ekky Thump Master! :)

I have no funds(dead scope), will ask friends though, and certainly keep a keener eye on your sales here.

Merry Xmas bud :)

Hi, I'll take the ZX-15 if it's still available for the £150, in the interest of ex-maritial peace - down in Mansfield so not too painful to get to you. Will send you PM.

It's yours, I'll give you a call in an hour when the dentist has finished extracting money from me...

Ian,

Assuming no-one else has first dibs then my mate will take the chopsaw too...has the beneficial side-effect from my point of view that I can collect the mill in a van rather than a car  ;D

My dentist likes me, regular check up and good prices as well. Last time though I went there, and he referred me to the surgeon, who had to do some work involving a grinder to extract the last wisdom tooth. Paid that one cash as well. Funny thing was that Uli Schmidt wanted to take that tooth out 20 odd years ago. Doing the other side he lifted me out of the chair by the one tooth.

Less detail please.... I'm booked in for phase 2 of my treatment 7th January next year...

1100 GBP for one bastard tooth!

Plus I'm on a week long course of the one antibiotic you REALLY can't mix with alcohol, and I can't eat solid food...

Merry Xmas! (for my dentist)

And there I was with the bill for $500 for the surgeon, and a single visit complete with dissolving stitches and 3 days of those lovely gram specific antibiotics.

Best wishes for a pain free Xmas then Ian, and enjoy the liquid meals.

You do know that steak does taste pretty good after it goes through the liquidiser, though I just did not eat much for 3 days till the stitches dissolved. Good news is the lack of pain is great.

Thanks Sean, probably do me a world of good laying off the food and drink for a couple of weeks.

I think I'm off to Croatia to get any more work done!

Sorry, I only have one of those.

Maybe I can interest you in a 450Kg Fanuc welding robot instead?

bugger, too late to the party, though that mill isn't quite big enough for what I need.  TopLoser, I'm skilled with a pair of pliers if you fancy saving the £1100.

I've got until the 7th Jan to contemplate your kind offer, doesn't sound much worse than what's already planned!

But absolutely the best method for doing some things, and by far the most common way to get precision parts in many materials that are not amenable to additive fabrication.

As well it is the only way to make moulds for casting.

KJDS, you need to watch this site : It's fairly quiet at the moment but there have been several decent mills on there.
