Free: 30V 1A / 15V 2A bench PSU
« on: April 14, 2014, 07:23:46 pm »
Free to a good home (UK only please), postage costs to be covered by whoever takes it or collection may be possible. Bank transfer or cheque, no paypal.

Works perfectly well, I've replaced it recently with another PSU, so this one can go. It's done unknown hours in a college setting and since I got it in 2008 I've only used it every now and then.

PM me if interested.

I refurbished one of these a few years ago. The full schematics are available, and it was a fairly straightforward job to open it up, clean the pots, replace a couple of dead transistors, and recalibrate it. It's a perfectly decent piece of kit and easy enough to repair if and when it goes wrong.

Pity, I would have loved it if it was cheaper than the current rate to post to S Africa. Seas post though would be doable.

Why not put UK in the title?

I wouldn't mind it, but I'll let Anks take it if he's stuck with a daft ATX 'conversion'!

Why not put UK in the title?

Why not expend very little energy and click the link, see the flag by my avatar, see the description says UK, and then expend a similarly small amount of energy clicking 'back'?

Anyway, someone has claimed the PSU, waiting for postage costs but if it falls through I'll keep going through the list on a first come first served basis until it goes to someone.

I think it's very decent of you 8086....

I hope it goes to someone who deserves it and will value it!

Hi,

Is this still available? If so, I'm happy to collect within 80 miles of Newcastle or pay for postage if not.

Thanks

David

Nice little power supplies - we have loads at work.

Just be aware that they can be damaged by applied DC when the mains power is off. I normally mod them by adding a couple of diodes (1N4002 or similar) on the underside of the PCB. A while back, I posted the schematics on another forum, and my scan shows the diodes added in pencil: http://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/showthread.php?t=49109
