FS [CAN] - large lot of mostly DIP IC inventory
« on: October 20, 2025, 02:58:25 pm »
I'm helping a friend dispose of an inventory of mostly digital logic DIP ICs. I don't have an up-to-date list (not sure if one even exists), but I would estimate it consists of

- 80-90% 74xx and jellybean logic
- 10% more interesting stuff like : (random samples I pulled): a tube of a MC68008 , a tube of FDCsomething floppy controllers, many other part numbers I didn't recognize but had a flavour of 'supporting ICs in mc68k systems'
- 5 % SMD / modern parts. Just saw a few SOIC tubes near the end.
- 0-5% misc, e.g. tube of PLCC through-hole sockets.

After 2 minutes on ebay, I'm surprised to see a fair amount of NOS DIP stuff (mostly china) still selling on ebay. But managing that needs more time than either myself or friend have, hence this post.

Given the size of the lot, ideal would be local pick-up (probably including the shelving unit) in QC, Canada. Shipping just the tubes might be doable but would be within Canada only (sorry, I don't want to be sending anything to the US these days).

Some stuff in there I know is worth money, and others... let's just say there's not much demand for non-LS, plain 74xx logic.

Any interest ?

Do you have bit-slicing Amd29xx chips? For example, Am2901C (4-bit slice), Am2902 (carry look-ahead), Am2910 (sequencer), etc.
Thank you.

Check for any rare music/tone generation chips. I forget the part numbers but some of them are worth good money.

Also consider the raw gold value before throwing any unwanted ones in the bin.
Not saying any of them have much gold, but some might. Ceramic packages can be quite good.
