FS (UK): GWInstek GDM-8251A Multimeter, price drop
« on: January 20, 2020, 10:14:48 am »
I bought both of these over the last 12 months from eBay. Both are in excellent condition, very bright (as new?) VFD displays and work perfectly. Both are upgraded to the latest available firmware. I have minor posts about both these on the forum if you search my posts.

I replaced the loud fan in the Agilent with a new, quieter, powerful and low power Sunon fan: MC30151V1-000U-A99, 30 x 30 x 15mm, 6cfm, 650mW.

Both units had the calibration seals intact when I bought them. Physically they are in excellent condition. The rubber surround on the Agilent has a few nicks on it (shown) and the Instek has some very light marks on the top from the feet of another instrument. Both interface to a PC as they should. I have had both of them open as I generally clean anything used that I get, and both were almost spotless inside. Just the tiniest amount of dust as if both had hardly been used, or used in a very clean environment.

The most accurate thing I have to test them is a 0.02% Vref from Maxim, and both meters read as expected within that accuracy.

My post when I bought the Agilent: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/list-your-test-equipment-score-here!/msg2722342/#msg2722342

I'm open to reasonable offers... could do with getting these gone. The Siglent AWG is still available too. The rest of the kit sold almost instantly.

The Agilent 34410A is even better than the legendary 34401A, at that price should be a no brainer.
Only if you need a (good) 6.5 DMM, best bang for the buck is here, stop looking around.

Just my 2 cent.

EDIT: I have now repaired my Keithley 2001, otherwise I would have grab this one.

Thank you for your kind comment Zucca.

I think my price is fair, and really I'm just trying not to lose too much having to resell everything I bought recently.

That said, I could do with getting things moving. How about:

£425 for the Agilent
£170 for the GWInstek

Both prices include UK postage, paid be bank transfer. For EU sales (which I have been asked about a few times), please understand that insured postage is more than double (like around £40) and we would have to come to an agreement over the payment method. Plus, we leave Europe at the end of January which might complicate matters close to and after that  >:(
