I have a stock of HP 54645D oscilloscopes that I bought years ago which I'd like to sell below costs to hobbyists to claim space.
The price does not include the digital pods and grabbers shown on the picture, which is around $150 but I can make it a package deal for $300 with a 2 generic 100Mhz probes and the pod (as shown in the picture) with 18 grabbers and a ground wire.
This is a tad cheaper than then the 54622D I've listed earlier as it's an earlier model, but just as reliable. This 54645D is slightly simplier and you get to basic measurements like Vpp and Freq quicker because there are less clutter of possible quantities to pick from. Also boots just as fast, almost instant. It has half the Megazoom memory (1Mpts/ch) than 54622D (2Mpts/ch).
This model also requires a module for RS-232 and advanced math such as FFT/Calculus/Phase-Difference, which I have for $30 more.
The $180 price is for hobbyists only, not commercial customers. At this price, probes and pods are not included, nor pouch or manuals, aka just the bare minimum unit.
If you've contributed a lot in EEVblog and had done useful or interesting projects and looking for an upgrade, please send me a link of your work and you could have the scope for free as long as you pay all shipping + all overheads and deal with potential small issues like faded membrane keypad and glitchy dials, and maybe replacing the battery backed NVRAM yourself and accept there's no warranty/support. You probably want a 54622D instead if it's still available, but I'll leave 54645D open as your choice if you like the simpler interface better (especially for those more comfortable with analog scopes).
If you are a beginner tight on budget, please let me know your situation and I'll see what I can do. The price is mostly for the trouble of handling a small transaction and shipping the scope, and the check to make sure everything is good and fix up petty issues if I find them. The easier you make it for me (like picking it up locally in SoCal, USA or not expecting me the offer any support or guarantees), the more flexible I'm on the price.
I also recently got very good DHL shipping discounts from USA to overseas destinations. Cheaper than the post office or pirateship.
