FS: Taewahtrans TS10L AC Clamp Transformers (100A, 3000:1)
« on: December 01, 2013, 12:41:46 pm »
I have approximately 80 of these transformers brand new in a box.

DS: http://taehwatrans.com/pdf/pro_09.pdf

100 amp rated AC clamp transformers, 5 ohm burden, withstand 120 amp for short periods
Built in protection bidirectional zener (no harm from leaving secondary open)
3000 : 1 ratio (100 amps in = 33mA out)
50/60Hz rated operation, though I have seen accurate harmonics up to 5kHz

Please note these devices can only measure AC current and require a resistor to convert an AC current into an AC voltage. You still need a true RMS meter to read RMS voltage.

£2.50 each + £2.50 delivery to UK (delivery fee once per order only)
May consider shipping to other locations. May offer discount for orders above 5 items.

Please send PM and/or post here.

Any idea how much these are new and postage to Aus.
I am thinking of 12 or the whole lot.

Royal Mail says a small packet would cost £12.85 for 5 days delivery. So it'd be around £40.00 for that order.
I'd prefer to send small amounts to hobbyists/engineers for odd projects -- what on earth would you do with 80 of them?!

New price: I have seen as low as £15 and up to £90 each (for comparable items, not exact items), most likely though those are Crazy Farnell prices, which are generally quite high for small individual niche items like this.

Thanks,
I had a client that was coincidentally looking at getting over 100 of these. http://www.digikey.com.au/product-detail/en/TT%20100-SD/398-1079-ND/1815417 I thought your ones might be drop in replacements. I let them know anyhow.

The smaller quantity was if I wanted to do monitoring of the subcircuits in my house, but in retrospect I should be using smaller CTs for that.
Sorry and thanks for checking the postage BTW.

You can use a higher resistance and still use these. I have used them to measure as small as 1 amp with good linearity.
