Huntron Tracker 2800
« on: January 13, 2020, 08:09:02 am »
I have a Huntron Tracker New with test board I bought for my repair shop but my shop went under and it's just sitting here 2200.00 and that's half of what I paid but willing to hear offers that are close to what I want.

I'd lurrrve it. Kill my second-born for it, even.

Unfortunately, I am childless and don't have that kind of budget.

I'd promise you dunkemhighs unborn first born for it even. If you ever give it away I claim first dibs, would look great with my other troubleshooting gear. I tend to restore and repair my test equipment so $2200 would be fairly expensive for a single piece of gear.

I think this is the case for most of the people on the forum. The OP would probably do better to sell it on E-bay.

An alternative view is that most people on the forum would appreciate what it is and how it can help. On Ebay it's just another tech thing without even any fancy IPS display.

For what?

The price was much higher than I'd be willing to pay for a piece of gear but I didn't see anything obviously wrong with what he did. Perhaps I missed something.

I know this is a great bit of kit but I still fail to understand why they are so expensive, and why even the Chinese copies are around $250.

As this thread is dead as a sales one they are more or less a fancy very over priced curve tracer.

DIY your own https://hackaday.io/project/16704-microcontroller-based-curve-tracer

or build an Octopus

Or these cheap Curve Tracers eBay auction: #291319027845 are well worth a go and there is a thread here in Test Gear https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/transistor-curve-tracer-kit-on-ebay/

Coffee, Food, R/C and electronics nerd in no particular order. Also CNC wannabe, 3D printer and Laser Cutter Junkie and just don't mention my TEA addiction....
