Those models pop up periodically. So, if you don't get this one, there will be another. :-+

*gasp* Blasphemer!
Would you harvest tubes from an old Tek scope and sell them to audiophools?

I reward my restraining myself from bidding on the Heathkit by buying a Tenma function generator with built in frequency counter. Not nearly as cool but more functional and practical. Damn my practicality ...

Seeing nixies brings waves of nostalgia for me.  My father was an EE and worked for National Electronics in the 60's, was always working on the nixie production machinery, brought home boxes of functional rejects to play with.  My first job out of school in the late 70's was repairing moisture testers that had nixies in them, all replacement nixies by then had pins that were non-solderable, needed to acid tin them first, what a PIA.

nope, no shame <lol>, but seriously every time I see anything Heathkit it always brings back fond memories. Was a kid in the 70's and the catalog was on par with Playboy
