Lidl (UK) LED workbench lighting next Thursday (17th Oct)

Well ok, they're kitchen worktop lights, but they look the same as the ones I bought about a year ago and I haven't seen them since. If they are the same, their advantage is that they are narrow enough to screw onto the front edge of a standard 15mm melamine shelf - effectively taking up no space. They daisychain with a fairly small gap too.

My two are attached to the edge of the lowest shelf above my bench and provide very nice glare free lighting. They are metal cased double insulated (no ground pin) but seem pretty quiet (things may have changed in a year of course). It's hard to go wrong at £16 for a pair though.

The listing indicates two colour temperatures, I suppose it's possible that they are switchable, but also possibly different variants (in addition to the two case colours).

Hopefully worth taking a closer look for someone in the UK anyway...

P.S. Just re-reading the link description, it does imply that they are switchable colour temperature.

Thanks for this, I need a load of lighting for some videos I'm going to make on smd projects/science so these should get the lumen per square meter up nicely!

Lidl - Aldi same same I guess. I got a pair of them in Oz last year from Aldi for under $10 AUD (leftover extra specials) each the only colour of any real use for a bench is the bright white and the pair of them provide good light over my Laser Area which is about 1.8 long with the lights 1.2-1.5m above it.

Thanks for the hint. I am trying to get my hand on these since 2 years. Usually they are quickly sold out in their online store after they appear in the retail shop. This time I was able to order upfront
