Looking for a cheap/free multimeter (aus)

Hi there, so i need a multimeter, and before i bought a cheapo $5 one from china on ebay, i'd see if anyone here would have one that they could part with, as i cant really afford to pay 50 to 100 bucks for another piece of kit atleast until i'm deeper into the hobby

anyway, i'm hoping to get either, a cheap or free, decent multimeter in working order, and i'm willing to pay the postage, i live in the central coast, NSW australia
also, if you just joined these forums or havent got many posts, we'll have to work out some cash on delivery or something so someone doesn't just join the forums, offer, then take off.

so please post here and let me know what you have

Good luck. you have spend a little something to get a good working meter. A cheap meter just won't do the job.

yes, perhaps i'll have to hold off on getting one for a while, i don't expect i'll find someone willing to part with one, though i saw someone asking for an oscilliscope here before, and getting some offers, so who knows, i wouldnt expect a expencive fluke or something, though maybe someone else has bought a started one, then gone on to buy a higher end one, who knows

If Dave can't find anything, I have 2 lying around that are pretty good but I don't really use much. Can't guarantee I'd be able to get you them very soon. But worse comes to worse.
