Wanted - Dick Smith Electronics catalogue from mid-1990s
« on: November 03, 2011, 09:34:51 am »
If anyone has a spare DSE catalogue from the 1990s (preferably before the 97/98 issue) they're happy to part with I will pay a reasonable price for it (say $20 posted). Please email me directly - john at tronixstuff dot com.

Thank you.

For research.
I'm intrigued? A study of overpriced crook parts through the ages? Evolution to today's fart gadgets? A challenge to find a pic Gary Johnston with more hair?

I worked there from '93 to '97 so would enjoy some reminiscing, and yes - want to see the component ranges and so on that we used to have.

Sound's reasonable. The 70's to 90's stuff scares me now. Mail order BC107s and letting the smoke out of banks of ETI-480s with duff heatsinking.  Enjoy your reminiscing!

If i find one its yours for Zilch !

Your Blog has been a tremendous help to me.

I used to collect EVERY issue of the Dick Smith, Tandy (inc the monthly flyers!), Jaycar, and Altronics catalogs and had them all. But foolishly decided to toss them all in a move one day  :(

Fluke 10 and 12 from memory?

And the infamous Fluke 19. The first Asian made Fluke. Was only sold in the APAC region as a trial.
Was very successful, until almost every one of them FAILED  :o
