Some unusual stuff there, especially for a UK sale. I guess it's pretty old and the best things have already been cherrypicked. The highest bids currently are on the multidrawer tool cabinets but it does a have a while to run yet.

They have the most rancid looking machine I've seen in a while....

I'm guessing that they're closing the facility down but continuing the company elsewhere. The good stuff has likely already been moved and this is the leftovers. The best buys are possibly the benches.

Lots of missing optics in the microscopes, certainly looks picked over. I might have a crack at a couple of smaller items and get the train to pick them up if successful, but don't have the transport or space for the useful looking benches etc right now :(

Looks very picked over.  but still some very interesting things there.  especially with the current bid prices still being extremely low.  shame this is in the UK or Id take a gamble on some of these.  but the items Im most interested in this lot are quite heavy so not worth my time due to arranging USA shipping

Hi ZGoode,

Do you still have anything left for sale? I am in Phoenix and can do local pick up. mostly interested in power supplies, bench multi meter, oscilloscope and function generator.

Thanks,

I had a look at the Wentworth auction today (it's about 10 miles away). Yes, it's rather grotty remnants. Anybody want 20 copies of Office 2007 ? And then there's the fabulous engineering tables. Not for shipping.

The HP semiconductor analyser for instance has the covers off and some missing modules (but might possibly be unfitted options) and a mitutoyo caliper listed elsewhere is a new but empty box.  Lots of eyepieces and objectives missing on the microscopes as Hydron says, but those are the easiest bits to replace (if not the cheapest). Some of the bodies are trinocular (but beware the bausch and lomb ones that have a knob where the camera tube would go).

There weren't any of these : https://www.bidspotter.co.uk/en-gb/auction-catalogues/eddisons/catalogue-id-eddiso12757/lot-809871c0-f86a-4214-ac80-b4c5010f9623

But there are some interesting bits and bobs. Some have already got bids on higher than I think they're worth (and then there are charges that add 40% more). Others, like that Renishaw kit, are still cheap (flvo cheap) I won't be spending a lot of money but I will try and put a few bids in.  Don't know how busy it will be. I think this was the only viewing day. I was there about 2 hours and saw more auction house staff (3) than visitors.

Won a couple of bits - a sander and some magnifying lamps. Missed bidding on others due to inattention. Outbid on others.
Oh well, the bank will be happier.
