WTB- FQP27P06 FETs
« on: September 14, 2023, 06:20:04 am »
I can't believe it's come to this, but after endless backorders and being sent fakes off eBay here we are 😂

Literally just chasing a handful of these (5? 10? Anywhere in that ballpark) for a couple of repairs, I'm trying to stick with original parts here and not screw around with substitutes.

Please no used ones or ones of questionable origin, I just need a handful of genuine, new parts so if you have a few to spare I'd be glad to buy them off you.

Thanks!

win-source.net seems to have them, actually 91.000 of them, MOQ 15 @ $3.39.
https://www.win-source.net/products/detail/fairchild-on-semiconductor/fqp27p06.html.

I have good experiences with them (and the parts supplied).

FWIW IRF4905PBF might be a close enough equivalent part

Seems a bit fishy that they would have so many and nobody else would have any at all though...

available next day shipping from element14 https://au.element14.com/infineon/irf4905pbf/mosfet-p-55v-74a-to-220/dp/8648190

IRF5210PBF is another option, closer in spec to FQP27P06

Yeah I can substitute worst case but I'm trying to avoid that for now

There is nothing special about it to try source it at dodgy places. There is way more chance for problems to be had compared to just replacing with a similar part. I wouldn't even try sourcing at reliable places if it did cost significantly more than substitute or caused significant wait time. The problem with obsession of finding a holy exact part is that in most cases engineer who designed the thing just used a part that seemed about right as hundred of similar parts would work just as well. EDIT: Not to say parts often go through multiple very different die versions, so it's often not even the same part that you get. Manufacturers selling same part under different part numbers to consolidate silicon die production is not uncommon too.

Jameco show 200+ in stock

https://www.jameco.com/z/FQP27P06-On-Semiconductor-MOSFET-P-Channel-60V-27A-120W-Through-Hole-TO-220-3_2299639.html

Oh... just got to the shipping page. About $70AUD for a few transistors. The hunt continues (unless I can find enough random shit I want from them to pad the order out)

Thanks for the tip, but this isn't my first rodeo. I didn't ask for substitution advice, I asked if anyone wanted to sell some of these particular parts. Sometimes situations dictate a preference for original parts.
