WTB from China - some LEDs with built-in resistors

This is more a question about component suppliers in China with online ordering.

I want to buy 100 LEDs like these:

But Mouser wants $59 postage to Australia. Ha ha ha! ... No.

I've often bought parts from China, but always via ebay listings. I have no idea where to search for component distributors in China who have online English-text stock lists and ordering, and sensible postage rates to Australia.
If I bought these via ebay from China the parts cost would be less, and the postage would be free or a couple of dollars. But I can't find any ebay listings now for LEDs with the built-in resistor. Besides, in general I'd like to find out how to buy parts directly, not through ebay. Every time I try China-specific searching I just get a a lot of Chinese-text-only pages.

Anyone have some lists of URLs to share, and recommendations for particular suppliers?

Ah ha! I'm so used to ebay's infuriating "Thou shalt not communicate outside ebay!" enforcement. Looking at aliexpress I see that sellers there are not shy about giving their direct contact details. So that's a great way to source stuff - find someone selling something similar, and just ask them. Thanks for the idea.

Once when I was staying in a hotel in Beihai, Sth China, some guys pulled up in a car on the street below and shot up a storefront across the street. But in Aliexpress, store shoots you?

Thanks, it's a kind offer. But the primary objective here is to develop direct purchase channels from China, bypassing the usual suspects (Mooser, Digikash, Elephant14, Farkn-hell, etc.)
Some small, cheap but slightly unusual LEDs being a good test case.

It's obviously an error. But 'shop' doesn't make sense either. I'd guess they were looking up 'served' or something like that in a phrasebook, and copied down the wrong synonym.

My understanding of that entire Chinglish line is something like: the description and technical data you see in the product details, plus some basic technical support, are all that will be provided. Beginners (who don't have a clue) please shop at your own risk.

It's a very common excuse for sellers on Chinese shopping websites to prevent themselves from having to offer any useful support to buyers.

Terrahertz, I initially did not understand, however now I do, If you intend to find a chinese supplier for your wares, I suggest using Taobao to find a seller of the kind of good you are looking for, and attempting to communicate with them (in english), if communication is good you may be able to build up a nice business relationship with them.

In china, the standard method of communication for nearly everything is QQ (essentially a fork+extension of ICQ), so grab the international QQ client, make a QQ account, add a random taobao seller and hit them up, see what they have to say; what's the worst that could happen? you lose $15 of a package that never arrives?

Note, A lot of sellers will probably not bother with you for small orders, it is a lot of trouble. However, you can use a services/agent to purchase small quantities locally in china via taobao and send them to you, for a modest fee. These services are called taobao agents.

Taobao does seem popular, but always seemed like too much trouble for me. I have never needed wholesale quantities of anything though.

In a similar vein, you could try http://www.alibaba.com/ which seems to be the 'wholesale' daddy of aliexpress.com.

I have never used them either however.

How odd, the supply of Chinese resistor LEDs seems to have completely dried up.  I couldn't find a single one on eBay or aliexpress.  Here are a couple of sellers you could try asking though:
