WTB in UK – HP 1710A Oscilloscope Handle & Parts!
« on: April 28, 2020, 12:57:47 pm »
Hi!

Is there any Member of this Forum who can post me a handle, two side pieces and the fixing hardware from a scrap/spare HP1710A  Oscilloscope to me in the UK please?

All reasonable postage costs
Reimbursed, including from USA or Europe!

From the HP 1710A Manual, I require:–

2 x side pieces, MP34 and MP35, part no's 01701–25001 and 01701–25002;

1 x Handle Assembly, MP36, part no. 01701–44901;

1 x Handle Nameplate, MP38, part no. 7120–1700

4 x Handle Inserts, MP39 and MP40, part nos. 01701–7201 and 01701–7202, 2 off each part!

Chris Williams, Walsall, UK

PS!

I've quoted all the parts separately at make it easier for anyone who can help to tot–up how many parts to sort out  – the handle and trim Nameplate is one part and the two side pieces contain two trim pieces each, so three separate parts if fitted together in total!

It's an enigma that's what it is!! This thing's not fixed because it doesn't want to be fixed!!

I think you'll find this has the same hardware.

However, it's worth nothing like what he's asking - £15 is more like it. If they haven't all been trashed you may find others at a more reasonable price.

Handles and related parts for quite a few instruments tend to be quite expensive. The reason being they are often removed when racking the equipment in a lab and many times they end up discarded so there are a lot more instruments missing handles than handles missing instruments.

Hi

What pile of crap did the HP1600B come from, it still has the mud on it.

I have a HP1707B parts instrument if the parts fit.

Hello,
I don't know if you got the parts you wanted. I have an old HP 1741A oscilloscope; would the parts off that fit yours?
Kind regards,
Chris, Somerset.
